 I recently completed the Italian language course advertised in Escape run by Maria from La Mia Cucina (lamiacucina.com.au) in Drummoyne.

I had been planning a trip to Italy in 2021 when COVID hit and was thrilled to see this course.  While I can’t get to Italy at the moment, I could get some language lessons and eat some amazing Italian food !

Maria is a great language teacher and cook – her lessons were very well put together and they have certainly given me the confidence to try and speak some of the local language when I can travel to Italy again.

The course is great value for money and the meals were even better than what you would get in an Italian restaurant.   She was also happy to share her recipes and secrets to creating beautiful food.

Maria has a passion for not only cooking traditional homemade Italian food but a passion for sharing her tips and tricks for when travelling in Italy

I couldn’t recommend the course highly enough and am looking forward to taking Maria’s cooking classes in the New Year !

I recently completed an Italian language course run by Maria from La Mia Cucina (lamiacucina.com.au) in Drummoyne and loved it!

Plans for travel to Italy in 2021 were again quashed with COVID still being an issue, so I jumped at the chance to learn some language and indulge in Italian food cooked by an Italian.

Our small class was made up of previous travellers to Italy, passionate about the culture and food but with either little to no language skills wanting to improve their communication when next the chance to travel arises.

“Andiamo, Parliamo e Mangiamo L’Italiano” was the course name and Maria nailed it with the course content, covering a good range of subjects for tourists to be more confident when travelling on their own, navigating transport and accommodation, meals and keen to start conversation and indulge in everything Italian.   And the food – what a bonus! “Era squisito!”

When the COVID crisis is behind us I can’t wait to put my new skills into practice. But in the meantime, I have the memory of friends made, memories shared, travel tips exchanged, great food and language skills enhanced.

The course was a trip in itself and a “Dolce Vita” experience

My husband and I have been to Italy many times and plan to go back as often as we can. Every time we returned from Italy we said to ourselves that we should learn some basic Italian conversation.  On one occasion we tried TAFE – too much grammar.

We then heard about Andiamo, Parliamo e Mangiamo LÍtaliano!  (Let’s go, let’s speak, let’s eat – Italian!).  What a “fantastico” Course.  After 7  weeks we were able to carry on a basic conversation in Italian. We took away great memories of 7 nights of fun and laughter and the best homemade pasta and Italian food we’ve ever eaten – in many cases even better than Italy.

Maria you’re a genius – Congratulations on creating such a unique and easy Course.
